Has some feature that make this a very nice light. One is that is has a charge circuit that indicates red for charging and green for charged. The more expensive ones I have have no charge indications. The batteries I tested to be of fairly high capacity (though it would be rare to find any that actually do have the capacity advertised especially when that capacity is very high). It has a normal USB charge cable, instead of a barrel to USB cable as most do, which such cable might be very hard to come by another one if lost, though if a cable isn't handy, the batteries can certainly be taking out and charged in your favorite charger (for less than $20 the XTAR VC4 is a very nice charger) for these batteries with relative ease. The red light in the back has a switch that turns it on instead of coming on with the head light as most other lights do. It also has a strobe position (two on positions, on and strobe). Most times the red light in back would just be an extra drain, and I can even see times where it would be a liability, so it is very nice it has a separate switch to control it. The third nice thing it has is a little more smarts then most the other lights, in that if you hold the switch down for the front lights, it changes to another set of light. And in that group there are two normal light positions (high and low) and then a red light and a red strobe position. Red is very nice for supplementing night vision. It would be nice if the light had a smarter "switch" like some of my better lights have, where you can pause and it will then turn the light off with a press instead of having to cycle through all modes, but I see this feature in far to few lights. Such would make the dreaded strobe mode more bearable. In my estimation, the light is plenty bright on high and has a good selection of brightness, and the construction seems pretty good at this price point, but for the extra features, it is a very good buy for the money.
