I only post reviews if I'm thrilled....
Better Than Described!
I rarely post reviews unless the product is truly exceptional and I'm thrilled. That is the case with this one! I wanted another Keurig (so I thought); a mini or slim one but the ratings were not great. That forced me to look "outside the box" and I'm glad I did! I ended up looking at a lot of K-cup makers. Here's the scoop on this one vs my old 4-cup Keurig:
PROS:
*Slim profile
*Tall enough to place a 16oz tumbler under
*Super fast (less than the advertised 3 min) (Keurig had an annoying pre-heat cycle every time so had a much longer wait time)
*No time-wasting "pre-heating cycle as with my old Keurig
*Shuts off after brew (Keurig used to stay on all the time and warm the water reservoir causing mold)
*Detachable reservoir holds 30 oz water so I don't have to fill and measure the exact amount I want every time!
*Presets for 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 Oz
*It's QUIET much quieter than my old Keurig
*Does not produce a "pumping sound" like my old Keurig
*Pod conveniently loads from top (Keurig had to angle the k-cup for more difficult entry)
*Makes a stronger brew than my old Keurig
*Quality fit and finish
*Pod cup for the ground coffee is quite large
CONS:
*You have to re-select brew size every time (It doesn't remember the last setting) but that's OK - it's a little thing and selecting brew size actually starts the brew
*At the time of my purchase it is only available in black. I'd love a steel grey one.
I almost bought another one similar to this (Sboly) for about the same $$ that had a cleaning cycle and high reviews but it did not look tall enough for a 16 oz tumbler, and you had to measure the precise amount of water that you wanted to brew EVERY TIME (it did not have the ability to determine cup size). I'm glad I chose this one!
