Being a man, I was quite concerned with the fit of the product. I made many measurements of my body, and eventually purchased the XXL. It fits me pretty well, with the exception of the breast area. I was able to fill it in quite nicely though with a 38 C bra and some custom made forms. My chest and waist measure 38", and my hips are 40". With the laces in back 3/4 of the way unlaced it fits perfectly. I have always loved the shrugs with this style of corset, and was worried it would not fit me. While the armpits are snug, I am still able to move my arms around freely. I am being super specific with sizing to help any other men who might be interested in purchasing this corset. I wish I had found a review like mine when I had purchased it. As others have said, it does not seem steel boned. The boning does do the job, but I was actually able to bend over in it. The corset actually bent when I bent over to touch the ground. I have worn a steel boned corset, and they don't bend. The attached accessories are nice. I love the strap across the chest, and the pouches are a nice touch too. Sadly though, the pouches aRe quite small. If all you need to carry is an ID card and some money they will be perfect. Don't expect any Galaxy class or iPhone to fit in there though. Perhaps if you are still rocking a slider or flip phone it might fit. The zipper seems like a weak spot though. The teeth seem a bit small, and are made of plastic, not metal. The fabric is of good quality, and is certainly not see through. It should hold up to quite a few wearings if you don't force the zipper, and treat it with a bit of care.
