Gentle lead did work for my dog, but he didn’t like it. And then he snapped the tiny little plastic piece off. I was looking for something more durable as he is giant and overly excited when we first get out the door. This worked so well!!! My dog wears it around the house and doesn’t care if it’s on. There is a very stormy handle on the back in case I need to grab him. I can leave his regular neck collar on white this harness is on. This has really easy slide locks so my dog doesn’t accidentally bump into something and unhook his harness. There is a metal loop on the chest and the back. The one in the chest is where you have a dog like mine. Works perfect for a big guy that pulls all the time. He still pulls a little bit it’s not a one armed workout anymore! My dog instantly recognized that it pulls him to the side if he pulls too hard. He is so excited for me to put it on and bows his head. Super reflective lined. Took a picture of him the dark, no flash, and was very bright!!!
