The people writing poor reviews for this are either expecting Italian hand-tooled leather, or are just simply impossible to please haha. This seems like a 30-40 dollar little purse to me instead of $12! It does not feel cheap, does not "smell weird", and the buckle is not going to randomly fall off. Nor is the stitching going to pull out of where the strap attaches. That said, I have a feeling a few people here just got a fluke product. Mass production mistakes happen; return the damaged product, request a replacement, and smile, Cupcake :-) These days, you can make a return and have the replacement in 2 days. My grandparents used to have to send in box tops and wait for two months to get a broken decoder pen; 2 days on a return isn't so bad after all :-D Joking aside, this purse is very durable. You would have to treat it carelessly to cause damage.
