This stuff is used on my hardwood floors. Steaming hot water, vinegar and this peppermint oil. You will cry and gag as you clean but those spiders are going to flee your home along with other insects and/or rodents. Deal with it. Can probably be used in the garden. Fun to spray at the step-son after he's smoked a bowl.
