I previously purchased three other pitchers on Amazon claiming to make water Alkaline and they did not. One of them was $41.97! I returned it straight away. I was almost at the point of giving up and continuing to purchase bottled Alkaline water, but decided fourth times a charm, and it sure was. The pitcher is easy to assemble, you just need to wash everything before use. The water filter says to rinse it under cool water and shake for a minute. Then you fill the pitcher up entirely, twice, and dump the water (or use for plants) before using. I noticed the third time I filled the pitcher I still saw some particles swimming in the water, so I dumped that as well. Perhaps I didn't do a good job of rinsing the filter. Well the fourth time I filled the water was clear with nothing floating around. I placed it in the fridge to chill and once it was cold I poured my first glass. It tastes crisp and clean. Then came the test, did this REALLY make my water alkeline like it claims? Well, as you can see from the photos the answer is YES! The water tested 8.84 . I was hoping for a 9, but I'll take the high 8 since it actually works as advertised. I love that it comes with TWO filters, each lasting 60 days. You almost have half a year of clean alkaline water straight out of the box. I also noticed the design of my pitcher was way different than the photos I saw on Amazon. It looks like the company took customer seriously and redesigned the pitcher. It has no problems pouring, or the lid staying on when pouring. I also noticed the digital counter was redesigned to specify days, instead of saying 60 with % which made consumer believe they had 60% use left in their filter. So kudos to a great product and a company that clearly values customer feedback and strives to make improvements. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a great filter, and they have a customer for life from me.
