NEW REVIEW UPDATES... PLEASE READ!!
First of all I'm very, very picky about sound quality, and these phones deliver superior sound without a question. They are crafted to deliver apocalyptic bass, without distortion of any sort. Along with the 2 massive woofs, you're getting 6 more drivers that provide Hi Definition sound across the frequency spectrum. THE BUCK STOPS HERE!! There's absolutely no reason to pay a penny more for state of the art sound. They look just as cool as any of the popular sets out there. Maybe not the highest quality materials as the high end phones, but in NO WAY do they appear as cheap. It's obvious that in order to offer pro studio quality sound at an extremely low price, Bluedio understood what materials were best suited to achieve this. AGAIN...These headphones are very attractive, with cool colors that by no means have a cheap look. If for some reason they were to break, I'd buy another set a.s.a.p.
UPDATE Jan.6 2014... I read the review below regarding the Aptx issue, and I wanted to point out that there is a firmware upgrade available at Bluedio.com. It consist of 2 zip files containing the drivers needed to interface the headphones with your PC, and the upgrades including equalizer modes which are controlled by the SD multimedia bottons. I have downloaded the 2 files, but I've yet to install the upgrades. On another note, the headphones stay charged for a very long time, and re-charging is much quicker than I expected. As of today, I have not found any reason to be dissatisfied with these headphones.
UPDATE Oct. 22 2015... My R+ Legend died 30 minutes ago. With no warning and while in use it died. I'm disappointed, but after I finish this update, I'm getting out my credit card and buying another Bluedio headset. I'll buy the UFO if I'm convinced their superior to the R+Legend, otherwise I'll by this headset again. Lasting 3 months shy of 2 years, I'm ok with. For what these do... I got every penny's worth out of them.
UPDATE Oct. 24 2015... I purchased the UFO and it arrived less than 24hrs after my last update. Here's my comparison and opinion of the R+Legend vs. the UFO: A few seconds into the first song I listened to with the UFO, I was convinced I should have re-purchased the R+Legend. In no way is the UFO a bad set, rather the intended purpose of the 2 are day and night. I found the UFO better suited for low to moderate listening levels with exceptional clarity and reproduction output. Whereas the R+Legend slams you into an epic party, at stage volumes without distortion. I'll man-up and keep the UFO, but it requires constant eq adjustments for individual songs and the necessary pre-amp control, to get a slight duplication of the excitement the R+Legend delivers. Very soon I'll be purchasing 3 or 4 pairs of R+Legends because absolutely nothing can compare to it's type of performance, and I want to have spare's when they discontinue this model. The R+Legend is the baddest headphone on the planet right now.
