Let me just say, THIS THING IS AMAZING!! Okay, I'm 5'8" and 230. I've got some extras and wearing dresses has not been on my "TO DO" list in almost 10 years. Well, this thing popped up and I looked at it. I scrutinized every single review, looked at the negatives more than the positive. I came to the conclusion that the ones who didn't like it were already shaped weird and didn't actually realize it, didn't follow the directions for ordering the size, or didn't need the actual shaping they received. Now, I wear a 42D bra and I didn't support my breasts like a bra would do. I did experience the chest area pulling in more than lifting and supporting but that's not a bad thing. I just put on a bra that I prefer and the shape wear actually helped with keeping me sturdy, upright and helped with my posture. You do not need panties with this shape wear. There is enough of an opening to go #1. Anything beyond that, you may need a contortionist to help you out of the shape wear to go. With that being said, it is like wearing NOTHING once you get it on, situated where you want it and your clothes on. I felt very comfortable and confident in my dress with this shape wear on. I did choose by my measurements rather than by the normal size clothes I wear. I chose the largest size and it was correct. When you remove it from the packaging, you're going to gasp at how tiny it looks. You're going to ask yourself where the rest of it is. You'll even ponder whether you received the appropriate under garment and the answer will be yes. Treat it like a pair of hosiery and stretch out a bit and just start cramming in it. You'll think it is impossible but I assure you, it isn't.
