TO HELP OTHER MAC USERS
This is to help other MAC users that cannot make heads or tails of what you are supposed to do. It's actually easy but they make it complicated. Also the Online help - you will get India and transferred to 2 - 3 people and it will take 40 minutes. So hopefully this will save you time.
The minute you plug in the pen - it will work and move the cursor around. If the pen doesn't move the cursor - forget using the HELP. Just return and get a new one. Even on the company website it says -just return and we'll replace.
This seems obvious - but if your pen is on the pad, the mouse won't work. But the mouse will work if the pen is not near the pad. Takes getting used to. The pen won't work in terms of "drawing" yet. It will only be able to move the cursor.
Then you need to go to their site and download the driver and install - all simple and not worth describing here.
Now to get the pen TO DRAW.
1. Go to System Preferences - this is under the Apple and labelled System Preferences. Select Security and Privacy.
2. Unlock (you will need your password).
3. In the GENERAL TAB - Make sure App Store and other identified developers is selected (as shown).
4.IN THE PRIVACY TAB Add the PenTablet DriverUX (as shown).
5. Click on the lock. (as shown).
You are done.
Right now - the pen is skittery for me but I am just learning. I illustrate but by hand. So this my first try with a pad after resisting for so many years.
Hope this helps someone!
