My daughter is at the age where she loves bubbles. She wants to hold it and do it all herself but bubbles are so messy and I didn't want to get them everywhere. My friend told me about these bubbles and I love them!! Are they perfect? Of course not. Do they keep 90% of the bubbles inside? Yes!! You unscrew the top portion, pour the bubbles into the base and then you are all set to go! The wand has a small slot that it goes into. Turn it upsidown and nothing comes out! It's brilliant. My 20 month old has knocked it over and tilted it and no spills! Pros: mostly no spills! Easy to refill. Cons: if you happen to tilt it just right it will spill. Like I said it's not perfect but it's MUCH better than the alternative. The wand can be tricky to pull out of the container. It has to be pulled straight out or it gets stuck. If your child bends the wand or twists it, it will have a hard time going in and out. Overall I LOVE this bubble container. I am sold and would suggest it to all my friends!
