This is a very cute backpack, it seems made well and durable. While the 12L physically is a good size for my child it will NOT fit a standard 3 ring binder if you need to add a lunchbox or other items. The small simple modern lunchbox takes up most of the space. For kindergarten my child needs to carry a lunchbox, a snack pack, and a folder every day and this backpack is stuffed full.
