We got this phone set for my elderly mother who suffers with memory issues. She was having problems answering the phones she had, because she never could figure out which button to push. We were hoping the corded phone would take care of that problem. It did! What we didn't expect was an extra bonus. If mom is in a room away from the corded phone and our call goes to the answering machine, our voices come over ALL handsets and we can "remind" her to go to the corded phone or direct her to the correct button to push on the cordless phones. The phone also lets you preprogram three numbers. We programed in our numbers and put our names next to each button, so she only needs to pick up the receiver and push the button next to our name to reach us. No more searching for numbers she can't remember, etc. I can't say enough about the features this phone set has to offer to people in our circumstances.
