First use out of the box, it worked perfectly. After that, I had problems with it constantly losing its prime. Air kept finding its way into the flex liner cup and I'd have to open the vacu vlave cap and squeeze it back out. I'd get 20-40 seconds of use before the problem would re-occur. For some reason the flex liner quit making a good air tight seal with the cup lid - no matter how tight I made it (which you can only go so far as the assembly is all plastic). The lid has a gasket and out of the box I noticed there was some type of lubrication on it. That of course got cleaned off after first use and there is no mention in the manual of having to keep the gasket lubricated. I don't know if that's the issue. I contacted Graco and without hesitation they are sending me a new cup (They did mention that the gasket isn't required to be lubricated). I hope that does the trick because when it worked it was flawless. So easy to setup, light weight, convenient as all heck, and plenty of power. For small jobs or touch-up work, this unit is perfect (so long as the air finding its way into the cup gets resolved). And using DeWalt batteries was right up my alley - as most of my tools are DeWalt. Update Sept 2017: I received the new cup from Graco and haven't had a problem since. I still don't know what was wrong with the original but who cares... I've used the gun at least a dozen times since then and absolutely love it. I can have this gun loaded and ready to paint in about 4 minutes and Clean-up = about 10-15 minutes (actually 20-25 for me as I don't like leaving even a spec of paint on my equipment)... Also, a good tip is to run "all" your paint through a strainer... especially if its been setting around a for awhile.. The paint filter is really small and doesn't take long for latex to clog it (a real pain when that happens)... I now run all my paint through those cheap paper cone strainers as I'm pouring it into the paint cup and have drastically reduced filter clogging (almost to 0).. I never strain paint on my big sprayer as its rarely an issue and very easy to clean when it does clog, but no so with this smaller unit. Update May 2018 - I've had the gun for a year now and it finally quit working. Wouldn't prime no matter what I did (this time it wasn't the paint cup not sealing). I contacted Graco and was days within the warranty so they sent me out a new pump. While I was waiting for it I took my sprayer apart and found the pump to be very simple to service. The O-Rings looked worn so I went to Lowe's and bought a pack of replacements for $2.. Easily replaced them and the gun is back to new. I found the gun quite easy to service (once I figured it out).. I'm guessing these O-Rings have a short life span, so if you ever find your gun no longer priming no matter what you do, shoot me a message and I'll help you out... One sign that your rings are worn is you immediately start noticing air entering back into the paint cup as soon as you're done purging it out via the vacu valve and when you switch your gun from spray to prime, youll hear a small hiccup sound (that's air being pushed by the pump back into the paint cup)...
