These racks are very light, but feel sturdy even with bars full of clothes and heavy coats. They are reasonably easy to put together, though having a mallet to bang the rods securely into place is essential. I did not hang the lower bar on one rack so that I could hang dresses and long coats, and it is still quite sturdy. It would also be possible to remove one of the shelves and join the units together, so they are somewhat customizable as well. Overall, a great closet organizer at a good price.
