Important that everyone knows before buying!!
Update: ok so i wrote this originally on April 3rd of 2019. Updating today on May 21st 2020 I found out I suffer from a slight iron deficiency. Im not sure if that played a role in serrapeptase causing so much distress... But it seems like it would. Ive taken breaks from it for weeks and even months but the reaction is still the same. Liquid stool, fever, body aches, chills and horrendous straining vommiting as well as lips turning blue and tiny red dot pin pricks on my face from all of the straining. You are not supposed to take this with any blood thinners serrapeptase thins your blood on its own.. Adding low iron anemia to it may have played a role in why i had such a terrible reaction. I also took a lot of collagen for about a month and a half.. Tried it again.. The symptoms happened again... Only a little less harsh. So who knows.. Maybe if i built up my collagen for 6 months to a year i might be ok.. All i know is i believe in this bc i actually passed a fibrous dark colored tissue after o ly 3 weeks. It was NOT a period clot. Way too firm and almost a black color. After the first day i felt my ovaries "wake up" with tingling and almost a menthalated feeling.. It was unreal Thats why i still believe in it. I felt like i was going to die but i passed what i believe to be a fibroid. Thats a tangible result!! Just be careful. It hit me out of the blue after 3 weeks of taking 0ne million units.. Feeling great...Then BAM! doubled over in pain and losing control of my bowls while not being able to catch my breath. Oh.. And i took FOUR different brands and had the exact same result. 3 different smaller and smaller doses.. I even broke one open and used 1/8 of the smallest capsule.. (As directed by a so called serrapeptase expert) Still reacted badly.. And yes... They were all enterically coated It made ZERO difference. And i was told to taking digestive enzymes.. Did that for three months.... Tried serrapeptase again.. ZERO effect.. I still endured the worst gut pain, and liquid stool but no fever and chills that time I wish i could handle it bc i know it works 👍 Good luck out there ----------------------------------------------------- Ok. So let me first start by saying i too became VIOLENTLY ILL one day out of the blue. I did just fine with it for like a month and one day i ate some pretty bland food and puked strenuously 6 different times. I had liquid bowel movements as well. The whole thing was terrifying. It lasted about 10 -12 hrs .. Just feeling drained and miserable. BUT! I now know WHY everyone is getting sick and its not a defect of the brand it is a defect of the user. Serapeptase breaks down proteins. Ur gut has a protective lining in it called biofilm. Biofilm is made up of proteins. So what did we stupidly do? Thats right. We slowly stripped it away until we had none (or a small amount) causing the violent and terrible reaction that it causes. Whats the solution? Depends on the person. Take a couple of weeks to build that film back and then SCALE BACK ur doses significantly. Start with one 40,000 unit pill PER DAY and dont go overboard. Why did i give this a 5 star rating? Bc while i was wretching and going to toilet i passed an endometrial polyp! Its doing its job!!! Complete breakdown of a polyp in only 3 weeks??? I also felt my formerly dormant/ blocked fallopian tube twinge and wake up after 10 years of silence. A nasty scar from childhood is fading after 20 years. Im taking a small break and getting right back to it. I love this stuff. We all just have to be smarter about how we take it. Do more research before blaming the product. Good luck everyone out there!
