Spectacular Coffee Maker
Are you looking for a new coffee maker on Amazon and getting frustrated about not being able to find one with consistently high ratings? Do you wonder why that's true for coffee makers but almost no other products on Amazon? I'll tell you. It's because a very high percentage of people who buy coffee makers from Amazon can't read and don't understand basic laws of thermodynamics. Hopefully you are not one of these people, but--just in case--I will bulletize some things you might want to know: --If you are looking for a coffee maker with a timer, don't buy this coffee maker and then give it three stars because it doesn't have a timer. --If you are looking for a coffee maker with a hot plate that continuously heats your coffee after brewing is done, don't buy this coffee maker and then give it three stars because it doesn't have a hot plate. --If you are looking for a coffee maker with a glass caraffe that can pour a gallon of coffee into a jug in ten seconds, don't buy this coffee maker and then give it three stars because it doesn't have a glass caraffe that can pour a gallon of coffee into a jug in ten seconds. --If you are looking for a coffee maker with a thermal caraffe that will keep your coffee hot without heating after brewing, don't buy this coffee maker and then give it three stars because it doesn't pour fast enough. You will search in vain for your entire life for a thermal caraffe with a massive opening that pours really fast but also keeps your coffee hot for two hours; complaining about the speed with which the caraffe on this coffee maker pours is like complaining that you are really disappointed in your Toyota Camry because it doesn't fly and then convert easily into a submarine. --If you are looking for a coffee maker with a really long cord and will take a star away from a coffee maker that complies with kitchen appliance guidelines for cord length, you are barking mad. --If you will get annoyed and take away a star from a coffee maker because its properly designed thermal caraffe needs to be tilted past horizontal to get the last of the coffee out, you may not be be barking mad, but you are searching for a level of perfection in your life that is unattainable, and I feel sorry for you. If you are still reading, it must be because you don't care about a timer, don't need a coffee maker with a hot plate, don't need a glass caraffe that pours like Niagara Falls, understand basic thermodynamics, are not barking mad and have reasonable expectations about what life can deliver to you. So why did I give this coffee maker five stars? I'll bulletize this list, too: --It makes great coffee that comes out at the right temperature and then stays hot enough to enjoy for a solid two hours. --It is beautiful. --It is simple: there is just one button to push which then lights up until your coffee is done at which point the light goes out. That's it. There are no other controls of any kind. --It solves many small problems that can compromise other coffee maker designs: you can see how full the tank is from either side of the machine, the space in which you pour cold water has a very broad opening and the design of the caraffe lid is slick. That's it. If you like a beautiful machine with a thermal caraffe that makes great coffee and does absolutely nothing else, this is the coffee maker for you.
