A great product with a great warranty. Please note the manufacturers notice that this is for android based products with bluetooth, not apple/ios products at all (BAFX makes a different product for them). You must use this scanner in combination with third-party software available for your Android device. I downloaded the Torque Lite app to my phone, followed directions to plug the scanner in my car, connect via bluetooth, and opened torque lite, and I was up in less than 10 minutes total. The combination of the BAFX scanner and this free app let me learn what codes were occurring, and using the graph function in this free software I could graph multiple parameters in real time and save the data to find out what vehicle speed they were occurring at. This let me refine the diagnosis. I used this scanner and this free software on another car that threw a code and illuminated a check engine light for a loose gas cap (or a very expensive repair to the gas tank). In less than five minures I was able to tighten the cap, use the app/scanner combination to reset the check engine light, and use it again to check pending codes to confirm that the issue truly went away. Be careful resetting the check engine light; you will not pass emissions testing just because the light is out. You need to solve whatever underlying problem caused the code in the first place, and ignoring the cause of the code can damage your car.) There are lots of apps with varying capabilities. Torque Lite (free) has all the functions I need (and all that you will need unless you are a very advanced mechanic). If you need a scanner and have an android device with bluetooth, you should absolutely buy this BAFX scanner, and consider buying Torque Pro after testing with Torque Lite (as I did ) to support the software that takes data from this scanner and makes it so useful.
