My headboard arrived yesterday and I put it up right away. I couldn't be more pleased! It looks great. Ok, wait, I take that back. I could be a little bit more pleased, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. It SMELLS... Not horrible, but I woke up several times during the night and fussed at the dogs, then I remembered it wasn't them, and even if it was, you can't stop a dog from farting. It was the headboard. And to be fair it doesn't stink as bad as a dog fart, but it doesn't smell like a field of flowers either. I'm hoping that within a few days the odor goes away. And added feature that I don't see many folks mentioning is that lovely hidden panel where the legs are stored during shipping. I mean, can you think of a better place to hide your...um, er, stuff that might need hiding? I mean, NOBODY is going to think to pull your bed out and feel around for a hidden velcro section...well now they might if they read this review. But seriously, I'm totally going to stash a few bucks and maybe a "bedroom toy" or two in that panel. To do anything less would be a total waste!!! And if it doesn't stop stinking within a day or two, I'm going to throw a couple of those car air fresheners that are shaped like trees in there! Oh, and a side note... did anybody find a use for the "e" screws? I mean, a whole package of labeled screws, nuts, washers and hex tools and once all is said and done you don't touch the "e" package at all... kinda messed with my head a bit.
