My Grandfather lives in another country and as such they have a limited choices of certain things such as pens. It is hard to believe how such a simple thing like a pen can mean to one man. Years ago while visiting him I asked for a pen and when he handed me his pen from his shirt pocket he looked me dead in my eyes and said "Make sure I get it back". It was at that moment that I knew I had to provide him with a great pen on my next visit. I searched an researched like never before. In the end I was stumped between 2 pens, on a $150 and the other a $40 pen. It was only when I went to renew my Passport at the post office that I found the perfect pen. The post lady was using this very pen and as soon as I began to write I knew I had found the perfect pen. Ironically it was not a pricey one but a simple one and it fit my grandfather to a T! I bought him a whole pack and when I visited last year I handed him the box and he responded with a smirk, that for my grandfathers was as close to a smile as possible. When he came to visit a few weeks ago he had one of these pens in his shirt pocket. It is the simple things in life that matter the most. Thank you BIC! 1/24/2018 I was just going through my reviews and ran into this one and it is with a heavy heart that I must say my dear grandpa has passed away late last year. Even though these pens were purchased in 2015 I can tell you that he wore them daily and used them for everything. I went recently to visit his tomb and my grandma mentioned the pens. She said that he would never let anyone borrow them. They were a true treasure to the great man. Once again thank you BIC, I will forever be a customer of your products. D.E.P. Abuelito.
