I got s large. I'm a woman that's 5'8" tall and wear an 11 shoe. These came up about 3 inches above my knee. They didn't do well keeping the swelling out of the bottom half of my upper foot. The company sent me a small and they fit a lot better. I do have slender legs... OK, they're bird legs! So if you're a woman and have slender legs, order a small. I'm giving them 5 stars because of their willingness to help get what's right. If you need edema out of your feet, order something else. They're nice socks, but not good for top of foot edema.
