First a word about size. I am a solid size 6 and this is body hugging without a bulky sweater. The arms and shoulder area fits perfectly and sleeve length is great but I would like a bit more room in the body, I guess I am a curvy size 6. The neck comes up high so no need for a scarf and the hood is useful and can be detached. I really like the pockets and there is one inside the jacket perfect for a phone. Around the wrist there is protection so the cold does not blow up your arms and there are thumb holes as well. This is not a compact jacket for packing but I would use it on trip by packing it in a compression bag (use the kind you press the air out).
