Lamy tests all of their pens. They are dipped in blue ink, so you will DEFINITELY have a little in nk on your pen! But buyer beware...i have purchased 2 Safaris from Amazon in the past year that turned out to be fake. You are better off purchasing from a pen retailer as Amazon's stock gets mixed from different vendors. A quick google search will also show you differences between real and fake Safaris.
