My biggest worry was wondering if my iPhone 11 Pro Max would fit and balance and to my relief it works just fine (see photos). I hate to give a 5-star review to anything for fear it makes me sound uninformed or unrealistic but I just don’t have anything negative to say about the Hohem stabilizer through the few weeks that I’ve had it. It stabilizes well, the joystick function works as expected, and the battery seems to go on and on. I’ve only charged it once. I have some experience with the more expensive DJI Osmo but I would not call this product inferior to that in any category. The booklet that comes in the box explains all the modes and after using it to film at a couple of events, there are still some functions that I haven’t explored fully yet. As far as the software goes (the app) it seems to work just fine although it’s really not required for the primary use of the gimbal. I typically just use the iPhone’s native software but there are some additional functions with the app like using the trigger to start/stop video. One cool bonus that I discovered was the feature that takes an automatic panorama photo at various degrees of rotation while it’s standing on the tripod. Also, I love that it comes with a protective zippered case. It’s rigid enough to provide good protection in my backpack.
