So I'm giving this five stars since it came packaged well, was easy to setup, and didn't mar my floors. I bought this because no matter how much I try NOT to blow tires on the back of my mountain bike, I seem to have a gift (or a burr that I can't find on the spokes). So to make use of my multihundred dollar mountain bike, voila. In terms of it's function, it works perfectly. I tried it initially without any resistance and it was as smooth as butter. Once I engaged the resistance though... there was an insane amount of noise. Immediately, I knew it was due to the tires I have on my mountain bike. It's no different than a jeep rolling at highway speeds with mud tires; it's going to be noisy. BUT it works flawlessly. Next step? Buy some road tires with quiet tread and see how they fair in terms of noise generation.
