The lid doesn't open as fast as I had hoped. The sensor also doesn't read my hand movement (like 1-2 times a day) it's not a big deal I just waive my hand over it again and it opens. I know the sensor depth is short mostly to prevent unwanted openings of the garbage. PRO TIP: If you get this and use it, I'm going to teach you how to properly put a bag in it! I believe the instructions say how to. But who reads those right? But I know you read reviews! So here you go. Refer to my video if you get confused. Put the bag in the garbage can. Then put the black ring over the bag (so you pull the top part of the bag through the ring) Then fold the edge of the garbage bag over the ring and stick the ring in the garbage. This makes it so you can put the lid on and the bag doesn't show!! It also allows you to lift the lid and the garbage bag comes up for easy removal! It sounds more complicated than it is. If you had the garbage can in front of you it would make more sense.
