Took me almost 2 years to write this review. We got these soap holders in November 2019. It is now September 2021 and we are still using them! We used one for our handmade natural body soaps and one for our shampoo and conditioning bars. If you are familiar with organic soaps and shampoo bars, they melt pretty fast if they are not kept dry. These soap holders have been the best soap holders I've found so far! Especially for the price! The soap don't sit in a pool of water and the wood bars allow enough air flow to dry the soap by the time you are ready for your next shower. Now, as you can tell by the pics, the coating clearly falls off after a couple months of using them. This leaves just the bare wood, which we are totally fine with! The soap holder which we used to hold the soap, fell apart after 8 months (because ofc its only held together with glue), but my husband dried it off in the sun and glued it back together. You can't even tell the difference. I've decided to give this soap holder a 5 star because even though ONE fell apart and lost the coating, it is still quite functional! So, for you guys that want to purchase it and throw it away after it loses its color, at least you know you will get 8 months of use for $7.99!
