I don't EVER write reviews because most people look at the stars and say yes or no but let me tell you my story and why I wanted to write a review. I purchased a used car about 8 months ago, now I have a terrible sense of smell but after having it a day and letting it sit out in the sun I realized it might have a slight cigarette smell. Once my wife sat in the car for the first time the next day she asked me if I had picked up smoking (it was at that point that I realized I had a smelly car. I started off with the basics; try to wipe everything down and give it a nice wash (nothing changed), next I moved on to Zepp which helped to mask the smell but then it just smelled like Zepp and smoke, next I did a Odor bomb (for about 3 months my car smelled pretty good but it always faded away), the next step I change the cabin filter (didnt change anything), lastly I did an Odor bomb that I later realized it for a whole house (besides my car looking like I had hot boxed it and taking hours to air out it only help to mask the smell for a few days). Finally my wife said I needed to take it to get professionally cleaned so I called around and spoke to a few car detailing companies and kept hearing about this Ozone treatment that they use (ironically every place that listed it on their website their machine broken, go figure it was like going to McDonalds and asking for Ice-cream). So after striking out with a few companies I turned to the website that rarely lets me down with the cost of a full car detailing being between 150-220 I decided I might as well buy this machine for $70 and give it a shot. The machine arrived and I quickly set it up in my car and ran it for an hour with my heat on full blast with the air set to recirculate. I was anxious as I knew my wife would be the thumbs up or the thumbs down. I let my car air out over night and waited nervously as my wife entered the car to tell me if we had finally solved the problem. She stepped from inside the car.....paused.......leaned back in.....paused and finally said she thought she had smelled something but that she smelled nothing at all. IT WAS GONE, THE SMOKE ODOR WAS FINALLY GONE! Take it from a guy who sent 8 months on cheaper options if you need to get rid of a smell in a space this is the product for you. Its been a few days now and still nothing has come back. My next and last test will be once we finally have a sunny day (its been rainy here) to sit it on the driveway with the windows up for the day and see if heating up the car brings back any smell but so far there not even a trace of smoke left.
