This arrived today, I have yet to put it together. I am a middle aged woman and this is going to kick my behind, I think lol. It's really heavy but packaged well. No damage. I did take everything out of the box, without making too big a mess of the plastic and foam. The instructions are in the box with the hardware (found this out after I couldn't find them IN the large box. The instructions are pictures that made my head spin so I put everything away until the weekend comes here. Then...I sat on the couch and thought "what the heck did I get myself into here?" Well, my logical brain kicked in. Work smarter not harder. Youtube will be your bff when you put it together...there is a video. Just put Tangkula coffee table lift top assembly in the search. You'll find it. Granted they make it look easier than it probably is, but i feel way better about the process. Wish me luck! ***UPDATE*** 10/28/2018....Well, I finally did it...I put this puppy together...by myself, in about an hour and a half. First tip, if you have long hair, you best tie it back cause you're going to sweat. Second tip, get you a bottle of water or a soda, no booze til AFTER you get it together. So what I did was set my laptop on the floor with that youtube video I mentioned above and left the cursor on pause. I'm sure, because without that, what took me 90 minutes would have taken me several hours with the crapola instructions. Now that it's all together, what I don't like: the color is way darker than what is in the picture. It's really slippery, very shiny and very easily scratched so be careful. I wish it was just a couple inches wider but I knew the measurements when I bought it. What I like, I work from home, which means my couch most of the time. I like that I can sit up straight and work because the top rises up and I can adjust it to where I am most comfortable. I love the storage factor. Everything that was ON my previous coffee table is now IN this one which makes for so much less clutter. The shelves underneath...love. I know this was a long review but I felt the need to share the experience.
