In September 2017 my cat disappeared. He had wandered to close to the road and one of my neighbors snatched him and they gave him to a relative of theirs that lived 40 miles from me. I didn't realize this at first but because of some strange circumstances I did have a fairly good idea where he was at. After 4 months of nonstop searching and posting this person finally called me and returned my cat to me. I'm surprised the refused the $1000 reward I had offered. He is a purebred Bengal. I bought this collar and enough in ground fence to put around an acre of ground. It took me about 2 weeks to get him trained and now he goes out the pet door and I don't worry about him. He knows where the boundary is and won't go near it. I am amazed at how smart he is. There are a couple places in the house on one side that is close to the wire and he knows to not go in that part of the house with the collar on. But as soon as the collar is off he knows he is safe to go there. I have the outdoor access locked when his collar is off. I was upset with the batteries for this collar, they were going dead too fast. I had ordered the recommended replacements and they weren't any better so I carefully removed the ends of the battery case and replaced the batteries with Energizer batteries of the same type. Now one battery will last for 2 to 3 months.
