Ok so first off I saw a few 1 star reviews and I almost didn’t get it, now with that said I live in a 3 family home, mother, daughter, daughter set up. I’m mostly underground the rooms are long and narrow & I’ve got 3 1/2 windows 2 door leading outside on one wall now with that set up you would think it would be cool down here … yeah no not at all. It gets insanely hot down here idk if it’s the boilers n heaters in the storage area but yeah super hot during the summer. I bought this like 500$ top of the line ac unit (the house only has heating & no central air) there a tube that needs to go outside to vent the hot air. (down a 1/2 window) now the rooms are very long and the AC unit does a really good job … but it cools 1 room (butt frozen to my office chair) I’ve tried all manner of ways to distribute cool air and the only sorta ok way is a series of 5 fans “strategically” place (the middle of the floor) but it’s not a good look. I figured I’d try this as when I first moved in I had floor fans and frozen bottles of water (poor man’s AC) and that worked sorta (hey 85• is better than 95• right?) I got this for I think like 100$ maybe 80$ idk but it’s great! It’s small enough to move around, powerful enough to make the room comfortable, (low 60s) small enough to not be in the way of stuff & super simple to use. Now if you too lazy to dump a 2 liter bottle in and new ice packs every 24 hours … it’s not for you I mean it takes me 2mins and it’s a small price to pay to get a 1/2 window back, (the cats will enjoy that as well) can be comfortable in every room, not freeze to death while use the computer & I think this is a more eco friendly option. (don’t quote me on that) I do recommend buying another 4 pack of ice packs incase you really wanna be cold but a ice pack usually blast really cold air for 8 hours and then maintains a cooler temp for the next 16 hours. I like this so much I wanted to buy 2 more but the price jumped up to 160$! (Just my f$%# luck smh) but still worth it thou! I bought 2 more units 2 4 packs of ice packs (lol) & a water pump thingy to make filling waaaayyy easier so cut the 6-8minz down to 4-6mins and again if your too lazy to spend 6mins to be comfortable then don’t get this. If you care about the earth, (again I think it green) say yes to some minor exercise & being comfortable then go for it. I’m happy with them hope you are too. Thanks for reading my review!
