I live in the Southern US and the cockroaches here will call you by name and pull up a seat to your table if you don’t have a plan to keep them away. Seriously, these suckers are big, they fly and they can outlive almost anything. Except Combat Gel! Previously, when I used this product I applied to the inside of cabinets and under my sinks, bear/under appliances, etc and set a reminder to reapply every couple of months. After reading a tip on one of the reviews here, I began applying the gel directly to cardboard, and then placing the cardboard where I would normally put the gel. That way worked better, It was an improvement, but it would still stick to other items. Now, I save my paper towel rolls for a couple of weeks and when it is time for application, I squeeze a liberal amount into the paper towel roll, and either place in the back of the cabinet or behind fridge, shelving, etc. This makes the job much easier for me, because cleanup is a breeze. I just toss the old roll and place the new one down. At this point, I am just using for maintenance, but if you are using this to get an infestation under control, I suggest using in conjunction with a fogger or roach motel. I use this inside and outside and as long as I keep it up as directed, I see no roaches indoors. I’ve noticed I need to use the gel more often outside/ probably due humidity. I feel satisfied with my purchase and feel like it a cost effective way to keep the roaches away.
