Complete correct dimentions is (17 &10/16", 7&6/16", 5&4/16") end to end. Before I bought it, I wanted to know exactly how tall it was while standing straight. The spec sheet says 19.2 x 10.1 x 4.3 inches. In reality, its more like 17.6875" tall when standing completely straight from desk to very top. 17.25 from desk to bottom side of lamp (light) for those who plan on hovering it over something. This can be observed in pictures. The lamp can easily hover over low standing 23" screens (my 23" screen is just under 16.5" in height and will work with anything right up to 17" tall. EDIT: there is a 16KHz high pitch sound comming from the bottom of the lamp. It's from the electronics inside right where the touch pad is. It should be okay for most adults and possibly teens, but children hear the high pitch noise. A family with children visited our home and the kids asked me "Why is it making that noise"... so I later figured out it was 16Khz and small-moderate volume so be aware. If anyone think's I got a fluke, well I didn't. My brother ordered the same light and his emits the same exact 16Khz sound which I determined from an iphone app.
