I don’t use this stand as what it is intended for. At least not yet. I like to play video games and prefer to play standing up, which is exactly why I purchased this as it’s much more affordable than an actual standing desk. Before you read any further, I’m going to state that this review is based on the product as a gaming accessory rather than a laptop stand. Now for the review. Adjusting the height was a breeze, even without the instructions/guide. Just takes a little trial and error. I somehow managed to get pinched by the buttons on the side (it actually hurt pretty bad), so just be careful with that. The platform meant for the laptop provides enough mouse space for me to comfortably make fairly wide swing movements. Through all my gaming endeavors, I found that this stand is surprisingly stable as I’ve put quite a bit of pressure on it in the midst of gaming. Since I need the entire laptop platform for the mouse, I use the small mouse platform for the controller, whether it be a keyboard number pad or gaming joystick. Given that the mouse platform just hangs off the main platform, it’s not the most stable and has started to sag considerably. Perhaps improvements can be made on this aspect of the product. The other thing I noticed is that the entire stand can easily slide on a normal tabletop surface. However, this can easily be remediated by placing a non-slip surface underneath the stand’s legs. All in all, I like the product as it’s pretty much perfect for what I need it for.
