Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

First, this book is a fun thriller in a sort of gothic crime novel sense. Fun to read or listen to on audible. I really liked the book and wouldn't hesitate recommending it. So I thought I'd look into other Ruth Ware books to see what else she had out there. That leads to my second point: When reading the customer reviews of all of her other books I began to notice a similarity in both the writing style and word choices of most of the negative reviews. I'm talking about the "verified purchase" reviewers who absolutely hated the book. Its hard to believe that so many people (using similar phraseology and often the same seldom used words) could hate the book and all of Ware's other books with exactly the same intensity . I mean, this is not a book you hate. Its a fun summer read, an Agatha style mystery their keeps the reader engaged and performs as advertised. It leads me to the conclusion that someone out there just wants to torpedo the author rather than contribute serious criticism. I'll bet that if Amazon ran an algorithm on them they would find the harshest reviews to be written by the same person. just sayin'. This is a well written mystery thriller, totally worth the read. If you want War and Peace, buy Tolstoy.
