So Ive had the fan for several years and its been a great fan, I love that I never have to turn it on or off, just automatically comes on when it gets hot enough. I bought mine on Amazon at least 3 years ago, and recently my fan hasn't been working that great, its been spinning very slow or not at all. I finally looked into it and most people said you have to buy a new thermoelectric module also known as TEG, this is the thing that actually creates the electricity from heat, I found these for $20-33, but then did a little more research and found out that there is a very easy fix for it. If your fan is spinning slow or not at all, maybe from age or overheating it try this out... Unscrew the 2 main screws holding the unit together, this will split the fan in half, there is the thermoelectric module sandwiched in between the top and bottom half, scrape off the silver colored heat sink compound on one side of the thermoelectric module then put some CPU heat sink compound on it and put it back together. This CPU compound can be purchased at most computer stores. I did not have the CPU heat sink compound, so I researched and found that silicone grease would work just fine, so I used dielectric grease (which is silicone based) and it worked great!!! Very quick and easy fix and didnt cost me a penny! My Fan is now spinning really fast again just like it did when it was new, saved myself $33 on not having to buy a new thermoelectric module!
