Worth the money. Good budget wireless headset.
I actually love this headset. I saw the negative reviews and was a little worried, but I’ve had a great experience. I bought them about a week ago, and have played a few 5-6 hour sessions (no social life) and the only negative things I’ve experienced was once every so often the audio skips, but it’s extremely rare it happens and it’s maybe a second of skipping. That’s one thing I saw in the negative reviews before buying and now that I’ve experienced it, they are definitely exaggerating.
The only other thing (which I actually kinda like) is that the mic has to be right up to your mouth for the best output audio. Outside of the first two inches from your mouth it gets very faint. I assume that’s just the noise cancelling actually working, which my previous headset didn’t have. I live about 20 yards from a highway and noticed a huge different between these and my Turtle Beach’s as far as hearing the traffic in the background.
The last thing, and personally I think this is the only truly annoying thing, is that you have to hold the power button for like 5 or 6 seconds for them to turn on or off so when I first got them I thought they were dead or broken but I figured it out. I know 5-6 seconds is really not a long time but it’s something I did want to note for when you get them out of the box.
The pros -
They are pretty comfortable. Now, I’ve had MORE comfortable headsets but the key thing is that these don’t make your ears sweat. The fabric is soft and breathable. I wish they were a little bit bigger around the ear but when you get them on right, they’re comfortable.
Audio is good. The 7.1 makes a huge difference. I’m messing with some third party EQ apps to fine tune them, but from what I’ve experienced the audio is crisp, and noise cancelling. I can’t even hear my wife say she’s going to leave me if I don’t get off my PC.
Only joking.
She left months ago.
It uses a USB-C cord to charge and comes with an actually decent cord. One of those rubbery ones that don’t fray with use.
I did pay for this headset, I just want to be very specific in my reviews, so this is not biased, But if the owners want to send me one to review, I’m tottallly cool with that.
TL;DR
Comfortable, noise cancelling, durable. Checked all my boxes
