Great buy for the money
I'm very happy with this purchase. It arrived in less than a week and took less than 10 minutes to assemble. The recliner functionality is extremely secure and strong; the chair stays in position without any extra effort or balancing. The seat is firm but comfortable enough for reading, watching TV, and napping. Two 200 lb, 5'10" guys in our household find it perfectly suited for those activities.
The only less-than-stellar aspect of the chair is that its "leather" surface is really just a thick vinyl. It looks great from a distance, but upon closer inspection (and touch) it's obviously not real leather. The term "leather" can be applied very loosely these days. Basically, vinyl that's bonded to a backing of shredded leather bits can be called "bonded leather." In any case, the covering is very durable and attractive, but don't expect it to be a perfect replica of an expensive leather recliner. Also, note that the brown color is closer to espresso than chocolate; in other words, darker than some of the photos.
Finally, the tailoring wasn't perfect on my chair. Nothing atrocious, but there are some areas that have impressions and wrinkles, probably from shipping. The flap on the back is especially wrinkled. Again, nothing horrific, but not exactly top-quality.
Overall, if you can overlook some minor flaws and the reality that it's a probably made in a Chinese sweatshop, this is an awesome chair for $200 that will work well with many different decorating styles and is extremely functional, too.
