Bought for my 30 year old brother last year. We had it on VHS as kids but it got recorded over at the end so he had never seen the ending. It was his favorite movie as a kid (when he was young he even wanted to be the scarecrow when he grew up!) He was diagnosed with a genetic condition that would eventually take his life, and suddenly, but we weren't sure how long he had left. Could have been minutes could have been years. I bought him this movie last year so he could finally watch the ending. His best friend asked him what his favorite Christmas gift was and he said this DVD was and asked his friend to watch it with him. So two thirty-year-old men sat and watched the movie that they loved as kids. He died this May and I was given this back as a way to remember him. I'm glad he was able to see the ending finally.
