This foam compresses when you rest your feet on it, losing a few valuable inches of height. I use this because I'm too short for my desk to be ergonomic, so, I adjust my chair high enough so I can type without getting carpal tunnel, but then I need a footrest because my legs aren't long enough to touch the floor. Although this foam is comfortable on your feet, it compresses, so I'm only getting about half of the height I thought I would. Still giving it 5 stars because this does work as advertised, and is very soft and comfortable.
