I was really surprised and pleased by how well these pants fit and how thick the material is. I'm 5' 8 1/2", 140 pounds, pretty fit but not a bikini model by any stretch of the imagination, and usually wear a size 8 or 9 in pants (31/36 in Levi's 501's). I didn't want painted-on, skin-tight jeans, just something that was fitted enough and would look nice with boots and a sweater, so I deliberately ordered a size larger (size 11) and, wow, perfect fit! For you youngsters, going with your usual size would be fine...I just didn't want to look like I'd raided my daughter's closet! The jeans hit beautifully below the waist and don't constrict so no muffin top. At the same time, there's no waist gap, just a nice fit all around. The fabric isn't paper thin; it has some thickness to it, so feels as if the pants will age well. The pants are SUPER stretchy, as in you really could do yoga in them! How'd they do that??? Since my pants aren't tight, there's no "butt-lift" (but they do fit your bum nicely without being obscene). The way they fit on your thighs is really nice; the picture of how they fit the model is accurate. The pants are looooong, thank God! Accidentally putting them in the dryer isn't going to make them into de facto capris which is what usually happens to my pants. Ordered 2 more pairs, love them!
