The camera looks nice and Amcrest provides great product support. My only disappointment is that image quality of the digital zoom on this camera is not as good as an optical zoom on some of the other cameras sold here on Amazon. The picture looks awesome during the daytime in the sun but as darkness approaches the image quality is not as good (normal of all). If you want to look at something farther away like a license plate it will be distorted and virtually unreadable even with the zoom because it is a digital zoom. The red glow of the camera at night will attract attention to the unit and it is possible to turn it off in the settings but doing so makes the camera virtually useless in the dark. I contacted Amcrest and look forward to the day they offer a 4k with optical zoom although this is not an option right now at any reasonable size or price. I also wished they would change the frequency of the LEDs to those not able to be seen by the naked eye. PROS: - Looks nice - Nice daytime pictures - Digital zoom looks pretty good during full sun - Red glow of the LEDs will surely let people know they are being recorded - Red LEDs can be turned off with software program - Easy to use software program to set up camera - Amcrest has proprietary app to allow you to live view your cameras on your phone CONS: - Frame rate limits the output of the camera in 4k mode - Night vision suffers and the leds runnig may give a reflected glare on the image - Digital zoom suffers especially at night with poor image quality - Not a fan of the glowing red from the LEDs at night, Amcrest currently has no plan to change frequency to not be seen at this time
