Initially i wanted a mop that would save me from having to pull out the bucket of water & wring a heavy mop every time i wanted clean floors. then i started thinking about my 10 month old son crawling around on the floors, plus seeing how dirty his socks were by the end of day. that is how i came to the decision of trying out a steam mop & after reading the good reviews on this one figured it was worth a try. i couldn't be happier with my steam mop. it is easy to use, has the carpet attachment to 'touch up' carpets (or in my case area rugs), 2 washable pads & the cord is long enough that i don't have to plug into every room. we have unsealed wood floors that collect too much dirt no matter how often i mop, so at least this steam mop has made cleaning the floors easier. it produces a lot of hot steam quickly after turning the unit on & will clean 2 medium sized rooms on one full tank of water. it is very easy to use, doesn't weigh much & cleans without having to push down on it. i'd recommend to others looking for a steam mop.
