A Game Changer!
First let me start off by saying that I’m quite a skeptic when it comes to holistic remedies… I do a lot of research before taking anythings holistic, but a few months ago I started taking an Ashwagandha supplement that my psychiatrist told me he takes for focus and memory. I didn’t even research it, and just ordered the brand he shared with me off of Amazon, because you know, he’s a doctor and stuff. Why I was having trouble focusing: I had been healthy my entire life until late 2018 when I got really sick. It took a few months to figure out what was wrong with me, but I finally found out that it was a rare auto immune disease and fibromyalgia. So my body just acts crazy, attacks itself, makes my brain all foggy, and all of that fun stuff. Anyways, I am a freelance writer…. So needless to say, brain fog is a creativity killer. I couldn’t focus, writers block was huge, and I couldn’t afford to just deal with it or change my career since my writing pays our family’s bills…. So I started looking into the supplement my doctor recommended and turns out that it’s not even used holistically for focus. It has plenty of other great benefits but focus and memory were not among them. Somehow I ran into Lions Mane. I think it was a sponsored item on Amazon or I found it on Google, I can’t remember. (Because it was during my pre- Smart Shrooms days lol!) Anyways, I found it, saw the great reviews, and started researching the impacts online. I wanted to see if it was a hokey cure all, or something that actually worked. I was sold by the sheer number of positive testimonies that talked about focus and memory. I was also drawn to Dr. Emil’s Smart Shrooms because it was made here in the U.S. and the processing is of high quality. So I decided to give it a try. Day one, I felt like I noticed a difference. So I gave two to my husband who has severe ADD, but doesn’t take medicine for it. Day three I really noticed it was working and that’s when I even started seeing the difference in my husband’s ADD. He noticed as well. After two weeks I couldn’t remember what it was like pre- smart shrooms days because I hadn’t had brain fog in weeks and my writing was free flowing nicely. I was even able to take on new clients because my productivity and time efficiency had improved. Now, going back to my skeptic side of things. I of course started to wonder if this was all in my head. So I decided to test it by not taking it for a week… I can’t remember if it was the second or third day that I realized that my brain fog was coming back strong, but I decided to cut the experiment short for the sake of saving my business… But I think all together I stopped for about 3 days total and when I started taking them again the focus came right back on day one. I’m not affiliated in any way with this company. But I am now a huge advocate for this product. (Hey, Dr. Emil, do you need a writer??? Insert winky face emoji…) Anyhow… I take 2 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. Let me say that this product has been a game changer!!! I’ve shared it with my mom, other friends with chronic illnesses like Lyme disease, Auto Immune, Fibromyalgia, even Cancer. I’ve told friends who have parents that have dementia and early stage Alzheimer’s disease about it. My brother has lots of side effects from medications he takes, so he tried these too and loves the change as well. All I can say is that this has really changed things for me. I thought that brain fog and lack of focus was going to stick around forever. I had tried the Ashwagandha (I’m sure I’m spelling this wrong.) I’ve taken B12, Vitamin D, Turmeric, Focus Vitamins, B-Complex, Pink Drinks, all kinds of stuff, Thrive patches, with no luck. Short of begging my doctor for Adderall, this product has changed my quality of work life and my ability to be as productive as I want to be, despite my illness. I can’t guarantee it will work for you. But if you’re a skeptic like me, consider giving this a shot. You don’t have to commit to it long term. But if it’s a game changer for you like it has been for me, it might just be worth a try!
