Large Bright Display & Projection - Easy to Set and Use
My old projection alarm clock finally died and I have missed being able to look up at the time projected on the ceiling during the night. I started asking Alexa what time it is, but she started getting annoyed being woken up in the middle of the night.
After researching for a bit I ended up buying this projection radio/alarm clock by ELEHOT. For the price I really wasn't expecting much, but to my pleasant surprise this projection radio/alarm clock has well exceeded my expectations.
Firstly, I like the look of this clock radio. The design reminds me of televisions from back in my early days. Secondly, I didn't pay attention to the display size when I ordered and was pleased to see how large the display is. The time displayed on the bright 6" LCD is in numbers that are almost 2" tall making it very easy to tell the time from quite some distance away.
The display brightness can be adjusted and the ceiling projection can also be focused; the ceiling projection then has two 3 brightness settings (bright, brighter, off) that can be adjusted by simply pressing the top snooze button.
Note: One reviewer left a negative review stating the time was projected upside down. They obviously did not take the time or effort to look and see that there is 180 "projection flip" button clearly marked on the back of the clock.
The other setting on the clock are also very easy to set. I only had to refer to the owner's manual to figure out how to set the radio stations and adjust the radio station volume.
The clock has two alarms that are easy to set and then turn on and off with a push of one button. And there is of course a snooze bar on top.
The radio function took a minute to figure out but I simply had to hold down the radio button for a few seconds and the clock went into auto-scan mode saving all the FM stations it found, in my case over 40. There were a fair amount of dead stations and ones with too much static saved with no way to delete them. However, once you toggle through to a favorite station that is the station that it will default to when the radio is turned on.
And for a clock radio the radio doesn't sound half bad. You can also quickly set a sleep timer between 10 - 90 minutes in 10-minute increments.
The clock radio also has a battery back-up in case of a power outage. (The CR205 button-cell battery has already been installed.) And finally the clock radio has a USB charger port in the back that can be used to charge USB chargeable devices.
As you can tell I like this little inexpensive projection radio/alarm clock. If anything change I will update this review.
