So now that I have used this for a little over a month 6 days a week I can give an honest review. I've trained in rowing and while this is not a concept 2 at all. I think your neighbors or whomever you live with will appreciate the low noise. When rowing you will hear yourself far louder than the actual machine. I purchased mine used just in case I didnt like it. Putting it together took a bit of time...30 min or so but very easy. The monitor is blah...if that is important dont get it. I use my smart watch or kindle fire and set my own workouts. I am 6'3 279 and I pull this thing like I'm trying to row threw a hurricane and it's done extremely well. So for the price, good workouts, noise, it does what I need it to do. It's worth 5stars. If you do not know the mechanics of rowing probably would be best to learn 1st before investing in my opinion. I'm on Instagram get_it_in_fitness I do a few demos. There are many on YouTube by professional rowers. I forgot to mention it is easy to fold up and move also.
