I bought this specifically for sewing. It went together pretty easily, and is nice and sturdy. Overall it is excellent but has three things I am not happy with. First, the cutout for the sewing maching has very rounded corners, which means I can't actually slide my machine into the corner to get the sewing surface to line up with the top surface. Second, while the drop section is adjustable, it does not go low enough for my machine even on the lowest setting. Third, the positioning of the cutout is positioned more to the left, which means that I have empty space to the right of my machine where I do not need it, and less space to the left where I need it most. This is by far my biggest issue with the table.
