Best idea ever!
I don't know about you but I HATE the look of dish drying racks cluttering up the counter top. What's worse than the ugly aesthetics is that they are an absolute pain in the butt to clean. I bought one of those ribbed silicone drying mats thinking that would be the solution. The silicone mat got slimy and I had to frequently scrub it with a brush even though the only thing being put on it were clean dishes - oh, and it also always managed to have water go under the mat all the time so underneath would get slimy and also leave a watermark on my granite counter tops - very messy. I put it in the dishwasher to give it a good cleaning, like I do with other silicone cooking utensils I have, and it got totally warped. Then I found this drying mat which is AMAZING. It's not ugly because it has a very low profile (and if you don't want to keep it out, you can easily put it in the cabinet flat or rolled up to save space). No ridges or racks to scrub clean or dust. It's actually stayed very clean even after a couple of months of daily use (unlike the silicone mat or traditional rack) but I love that I can simply throw it in the washing machine when it does get dirty. It's very absorbent - I've had no issues with it leaking or dripping water (no water goes under the mat like with the silicone mat) so no mess and keeps my counter tops clean. I wish I had known about this sooner. I would have saved money I wasted on all of the other products I bought that failed. Also, the size is perfect. Other similar mats I saw were much smaller and I needed one larger because what I mostly handwash are pots - and the small mats are no good for large pots. Highly recommended, awesome product.
