This has been my everyday purse since I purchased it roughly nine months ago. Although it's not full-grain leather from what I can tell, it's constructed very well and is showing absolutely no signs of wear - it looks exactly the same as it did brand new. The leather is beautiful, a true black with some shine to it, but not as much as patent leather. It's sturdy enough to hold its shape even when not holding many items, but still flexible. The outside zipper pocket is fairly small but convenient for carrying change, lip balm, hair ties, etc. I haven't had any rips or stains on the interior lining. There are two pockets on one side of the interior - one is about the size of a cell phone and the other is a little bit bigger; there is a zipper-closed, decently sized pocket on the other inside wall; additionally, the divider doubles as a sleeve and has a zipper closure as well. There is an outside zipper that closes the whole bag, but to be honest I usually just leave it open. I haven't used the cross-body strap that came with it, but it hooks on nicely to the rings on the sides. I enjoy having the flexibility of the other two handle types, even though I mostly use the shoulder straps; I can carry a heavy load in the bag, but the straps seem to spread the weight enough to where the straps don't dig in to my shoulder. One of my criteria for buying this bag was that it's big enough to fit 8.5x11" notebooks and folders - it does that with a few extra inches to spare, so you don't have to struggle to make things fit. This is an attractive bag with a classic look, which makes it versatile for many outfits and situations - I actually don't remember using a different purse at all since I got this one. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase, and if the last nine months are any indication of its quality, it will last me for a number of years.
