I had an other brand for the past 3 yrs and I inadvertently got the base wet and it stopped working. I looked to purchase the same one but the quality was not as good and I immediately returned it. I hope this Everlasting soap dispenser lives up to its' name. So far, I'm very happy with it. It was well packaged ,great instruction booklet and easy operation. There is not a hit or miss situation with the motion detector like my last one and I love the different soap amount feature. It is a bit more noisy than my last one but it does work better!
